چکیده
Progress in phylogenomic analysis has led to a considerable re-evaluation of former cyanobacterial system, with many new taxa being established at different nomenclatural levels. The family Geminocystaceae is among recently described on the basis polyphasic approach. Within this family, there are six genera: Geminocystis, Cyanobacterium, Geminobacterium, Annamia, Picocyanobacterium, and Microcrocis. genus Geminocystis previously encompassed two species: G. herdmanii and papuanica. Herein, species urbisnovae was proposed under provision International Code Nomenclature for algae, fungi, plants (ICN). Polyphasic performed five strains from CALU culture collection (St. Petersburg State University, Russian Federation), they were assigned Geminocystis accordance high 16S rRNA gene similarity existing species, as well because proximity these phylogenetic trees reconstructed RaxML Bayes methods. Plausibility their assignment separate substantiated smaller cell size; stenohaline freshwater ecotype; capability complementary chromatic adaptation second type (CA2); distinct clustering; sequences folding D1−D1′ B box domains 16S−23S internal transcribed spacer region. objective pursued by communication provide survey Geminocystaceae. overall assessment that, despite attention researchers, been understudied and, especially case crucially important Cyanobacterium, taxonomically problematic.

Polyphasic taxonomy of the genus Shewanella and description of Shewanella oneidensis sp. nov.
The genus Shewanella has been studied since 1931 with regard to a variety of topics of relevance to both applied and environmental microbiology. Recent years have seen the introduction of a large number of new Shewanella-like isolates, necessitating a coordinated review of the genus. In this work, the phylogenetic relationships among known shewanellae were examined using a battery of morphologi...
متن کاملDescription of Astragalus barnasariformis sp. nov. from Iran
A new species of Astragalus is described: Astragalus barnasariformis sp. nov., Maassoumi, F. Ghahrem. & Bagheri. It is endemic to Zanjan province in northwestern Iran. Morphological evidence supports taxonomic placement of the new species in Astragalus sect. Trachycercis. The species appears to be most closely related to A. barnasari Grossh. and A. chalilovii.

We report here the main characteristics of 'Gorbachella massiliensis' GD7T gen. nov., sp. nov., 'Fenollaria timonensis' GD5T sp. nov., 'Intestinimonas timonensis' GD4T sp. nov., and 'Collinsella ihuae' sp. nov. GD8T isolated from one fresh stool of a French volunteer. We used a bacterial culturomics approach combined with taxono-genomics.

A thorough phenotypic and genotypic analysis of 150 strains belonging to the Mycobacterium terrae complex resulted in the identification of a number of previously unreported sequevars (sqvs) within the species known to belong to the complex. For the species Mycobacterium arupense, three sqvs were detected in the 16S rRNA gene, six sqvs in the hsp65 gene and 15 sqvs in the rpoB gene; in Mycobact...
